Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Empower students by supporting their communication growth as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year! This contract opportunity offers an engaging environment where your expertise will make a real difference in students' lives—from their first day to the last bell of the year.
What You'll Bring:
SLPA licensure (or eligibility) with clinical experience in school or healthcare settings Understanding of school-based speech services and IEP requirements Commitment to fostering positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational skills for tracking progress and managing student caseloads Excellent communication, collaboration, and record-keeping abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, using individualized treatment plans Assist in screening, evaluating, and documenting students' speech and language abilities Prepare and organize materials for therapy sessions, adapting activities to support individualized learning objectives Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support students' communication needs within the classroom Maintain accurate, timely progress reports and comply with paperwork and documentation requirements Participate in meetings, professional development, and school events as needed for student support This is a full-time contract position for the full school year, providing consistency and the chance to form meaningful connections with the students you assist.
