Fiber Optic Field Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a new or skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will need to be able to keep up with the demand of the growing fiber-to-the-home installation. Network installation. This role involves working in the field to install and maintain fiber optic networks, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. The Fiber Technician will utilize various tools and equipment, including hand tools and testing devices, to perform installations and troubleshoot issues effectively. No experience required, will train. all specialty tools loaned out do the job. Responsibilities Perform fiber splicing and termination for various network installations. Install and configure other networking equipment. Conduct field service operations, addressing customer needs promptly. Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as a light meter for installation tasks. Maintain cabling systems for low voltage applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Troubleshoot network issues related fiber supplying service to the home. Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project completion. Document work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
