Job Description/Summary:

Oliver Travel Trailers is seeking a skilled Fiberglass Repair Technician to support our RV manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for repairing and finishing fiberglass components to meet high cosmetic and structural quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience identifying and correcting fiberglass defects common in RV manufacturing, including air pockets, halos, pinholes, gelcoat imperfections, print-through, and surface inconsistencies. This role requires strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently within a production environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Inspect fiberglass components for cosmetic and structural defects
• Repair fiberglass and gelcoat imperfections including: Air pockets / voids Halos Pinholes Delamination Surface waves and print-through Gelcoat cracking or discoloration Scratches, chips, and surface blemishes
• Perform fiberglass layup, grinding, sanding, filling, laminating, fairing, buffing, and polishing
• Apply and repair gelcoat finishes to match factory appearance standards
• Ensure all repairs meet company quality and appearance expectations
• Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve recurring fiberglass issues
• Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards
• Assist with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives related to fiberglass quality

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of fiberglass repair experience preferred, ideally in RV, marine, automotive, or composite manufacturing
• Experience with fiberglass layup and gelcoat repair techniques
• Strong understanding of cosmetic fiberglass finishing and defect correction
• Ability to identify and repair air pockets, halos, and other composite surface defects
• Skilled in the use of grinders, sanders, polishers, and fiberglass repair tools
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship

$33,280.00 - $39,520.00 per year
