Field Application Engineer

The Field Application Engineer role focuses on exciting future-oriented applications such as robotics, drones, space, and industrial solutions. You will work closely with the local team in the US while also collaborating intensively with our headquarters in Germany, Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik. Together with both teams, you will help initiate and drive new development projects for customers in a fast-growing and highly innovative market environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job:

Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties: Support and develop customer applications in advanced industrial markets such as drones, robotics, space, and other industrial applications Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into product and development solutions Act as an interface between customers, the local US team, and Rosenberger headquarters in GermanyProvide technical product support during design-in, development, testing, and implementation phases Take a hands-on approach when needed, including supporting prototype builds, product setup, and coordination with manufacturing Help drive technical problem-solving and ensure smooth communication across international teams Support the growth of Rosenberger's industrial business in North America through strong technical and customer engagement Other related duties as assigned >50% travel to customer and RNA manufacturing sites as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Experience in product engineering, application engineering, field application engineering, or a similar technical customer-facing role Strong technical understanding and interest in advanced technologies and industrial applications Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, production, and process engineering Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with international teams Willingness to take ownership and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Hands-on mentality with the ability to support practical implementation when required Willingness to travel, including onboarding and training in Germany Excellent analytical decision making Excellent project management skills Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite Applications Knowledge of German or Spanish language preferred Strong attention to detail Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills Strong time management skills Technical interest in automotive wiring systems
