This role supports construction projects by coordinating communication, schedules, subcontractors, and project documentation to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The position collaborates closely with project teams, owners, and vendors, participates in meetings and inspections, and assists with reporting and administrative tasks.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Professionally communicates with all parties involved in the construction project. Assists in project schedule. Knows and understands project documents. Assists Project Manager and Superintendent in managing the subcontracting process and relationships with subcontractors. Performs carpentry, general labor and other jobsite construction tasks as assigned. Assists in coordinating the schedule to assure subcontractors and suppliers are meeting project schedule. Effectively communicates with owner and owner representative to provide a positive construction experience to owners and users. Employs effective conflict resolution and problem-solving strategies. Builds relationships with clients, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the project expectations. Actively participates in industry, client, and community activities to enhance company image. Helps prepare for and participates in proposals and interviews seeking potential new business opportunities. Coordinates and communicates with Contract Administrator and other project team support staff. Stationed onsite or make regular jobsite trips to collaborate with the jobsite superintendent. Performs assigned aspects of the company's safety and quality programs and culture by demonstrating a commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. Participates in project activities such as punch lists, city inspections, safety reviews, quality reviews, and prepares the necessary documentation. Posts and updates drawings and specifications as the most recent revisions and information are received. Organizes and participates in various project meetings. Prepares and disseminates required documentation as appropriate. Coordinates and inspect work and prepare a variety of reports, including daily project reports, weekly progress reports, unit reporting, percentage complete, daily manpower, production schedules, equipment tracking, etc., in order to support the project. Talking to subcontractors and documenting observations. Ensures approved submittals are returned to subcontractors and available to the project team per the project schedule and contract. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS :
Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the business. Demonstrates management skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others, while maintaining effective relationships with clients by meeting or exceeding their requirements and expectations. Demonstrates good knowledge of the proper and safe use of construction equipment, tools and supplies. Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer and company communication tools, such as e-mail, internet, and Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Excel, Office), scheduling and construction administration software. Demonstrates conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Shows good self-motivation and time management skillsEDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE
