Job Description

We are seeking a Field Engineer / Grade Checker to support construction operations through accurate surveying, grade control, and 3D modeling. This role ensures projects are built to plan by providing precise layout, verification, and field support.
Job Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, and update 3D models and DTMs using Agtek based on field data and project changes Generate cut/fill reports and earthwork quantities Perform grade checking, elevation verification, and final grade inspections per project specifications Establish and maintain construction control points, benchmarks, and layout references Perform construction staking, topographic surveys, and as-built surveys and drawings Operate
GPS/GNSS
rover systems, total stations, and survey equipment for accurate layout and data collection Process and manage survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and inspectors to support field operations and quality control Prepare field reports, as-built documentation, and maintain accurate project records
Skills Needed:
3 - 5 years of construction surveying and grade control experience OR Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field Proficiency in Agtek Experience with
GPS/GNSS
systems (Topcon preferred) and total stations Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Knowledge of heavy civil construction and machine control a plus Valid driver's license Ability to work outdoors on construction sites and lift up to 50 lbs
