Job Description

Bass Environmental is seeking an experienced and safety-driven Field Service Supervisor to lead and support vacuum truck (vac truck) field operations across industrial, environmental, and wastewater service sites. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising crews, operating and overseeing vac truck activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality service to customers. The ideal candidate brings strong field experience, proven leadership, excellent customer service (customer interface) and a deep commitment to safety and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead field service crews performing vacuum truck and environmental services in industrial and hazardous environments Serve as the on-site lead for vac truck operations, including liquids, sludges, non-hazardous and hazardous materials Operate vacuum trucks and related equipment to support field operations Plan, assign, and oversee daily work activities to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule Conduct pre-job safety briefings, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and tailgate meetings Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, and company safety and environmental policies Enforce proper use of PPE and safe work practices at all job sites Monitor crew performance, provide coaching, and address performance or safety issues promptly Coordinate with dispatch, project managers, and customers to manage job expectations and site requirements Complete and review job paperwork, manifests, reports, and field documentation accurately and on time Inspect equipment and vehicles, report maintenance needs, and ensure proper care of vac trucks and tools Respond to field issues, emergencies, and changing job conditions with sound judgment and leadership Required Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on vacuum truck (vac truck) experience in industrial or environmental services Current 40-hour
HAZWOPER
certification (8-hour refresher required annually) Demonstrated experience leading crews in the field or serving in a supervisory/lead role Strong working knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous material handling Ability to read and follow site-specific safety plans, permits, and customer requirements Solid understanding of OSHA and environmental compliance requirements Ability to work safely in physically demanding, outdoor, and industrial environments Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications CDL (Class A or B) with Tanker endorsement Experience supervising multi-crew or multi-site operations Confined space and/or respiratory protection training Wastewater, industrial cleaning, or environmental remediation experience Work Environment & Physical Requirements Frequent work in industrial, outdoor, and hazardous environments Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, bend, and work around heavy equipment Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and industrial hazards Willingness to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and on-call as required What Bass Environmental Offers Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement within a growing environmental services organization Company-provided training and safety support A strong safety culture that values teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement Equal Opportunity Employer / Safety Commitment Bass Environmental is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification.
