Job Description

The Vacuum Truck (Vac Truck) CDL-A Driver/Operator is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of vacuum trucks used to transport and handle liquid and solid materials, including regulated and hazardous wastes. This role supports Bass Environmental's industrial and environmental service operations and requires a strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and professional customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate CDL-A vacuum trucks in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA,and company safety standards Transport, load, unload, pump, and dispose of liquid, sludge, solid, and hazardous/non-hazardous materials as assigned Operate vacuum systems, pumps, hoses, and hydraulic equipment according to job specifications Back-up CDL Driver for Operations when not in field Perform industrial cleaning, hydro-excavation, and environmental service work as required Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Maintain accurate DOT logs, ELD entries, manifests, load documentation, and compliance records Properly placard vehicles and verify shipping papers for applicable HazMat loads Utilize proper PPE and adhere to all job hazard analyses, confined space, andsite-specific safety procedures Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, customers, and jobsitepersonnel Maintain cleanliness and safe condition of assigned truck, tools, and work areas Participate in spill response, emergency response, and on-call rotations as needed Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs [Vac Truck Required Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a minimum of 3 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience, preferably tanker or vacuum truck related Tanker (N) andHazardous Materials (H or X) endorsement required Acceptable MVR per company and insurance requirements Ability to pass DOT physical, drug and alcohol screening, background check, andongoing compliance monitoring Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical jobduties including lifting, pulling, and climbing Strong safety mindset and attention to detail Work Environment This position involves working in industrial and environmental settings which may include exposure to noise, confined spaces, hazardous materials, and varying weather conditions.
