Field Service Technician

About the Role Eagle Power & Equipment is seeking a skilled Heavy Construction Union Field Technician to join our Montgomeryville, PA service team. This road service position focuses on the servicing CASE Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Backhoes, and other dirt equipment brands. This includes diagnostics, general maintenance, warranty repairs, and other service items. With competitive pay of $45.46 per hour and a minimum 30-day in-shop training period, this role requires a 1st Class Mechanic or someone with prior road service experience. Please note in-shop training will be required before working in the field (minimum 30 days). Job Responsibilities Perform service assignments safely, efficiently, and with high-quality standards using minimal labor hours Comply with all safety policies and be able to lift heavy loads Review service orders, inspect equipment, test drive, or troubleshoot vehicle operation for additional repairs or malfunctions Notify management if shop equipment is not serviceable or constitutes a safety hazard Complete service orders accurately and concisely, utilizing computers when applicable Handle warranty reports accurately, retaining, tagging, and storing removed parts for return to manufacturer Apply technical knowledge to diagnose equipment malfunctions Obtain final approval prior to performing additional repairs Respond promptly to repair inquiries Perform repairs and maintenance services as requested, adhering to approved quality and efficiency standards Discard residual or hazardous waste using proper disposal methods Invest in necessary tools to perform at expected levels and quality Conduct oneself professionally at all times when representing the company Qualifications 1st Class Mechanic or prior road service experience Valid driver's license and clean driving record D.O.T. physical required Good working knowledge of all equipment Organized, computer literate, and customer-oriented Associates Degree and/or technical certification from an accredited trade school Experience or certification on CASE Construction equipment (a plus) Previous experience working on crushing and screening equipment Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronics Intermediate computer skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Required Skills Valid driver's license (must meet underwriting requirements) Solid human relations skills and ability to successfully communicate and problem-solve with customers Good written communication Comfort working with computers and digital business systems such as CDK. Effective time management and accountability Ability to stand for long periods of time, move heavy loads, endure all weather conditions Customer satisfaction is of primary concern.
