Solar / Renewable Energy / Electrical Services Overview Otovo is looking for an experienced and dependable Field Service Technician to join our growing renewable energy operations team in the Southbay Area. In this role, you'll diagnose, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential solar energy systems, battery storage systems, and backup generators while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled electrician or solar technician who thrives in the field, values safety, and wants to contribute to the future of clean energy. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair: Solar PV systems Inverters Battery storage systems Backup generators Related electrical components Perform preventative maintenance including: Panel cleaning Wiring inspections Inverter performance checks Battery health diagnostics Commission new systems and system upgrades Ensure all work complies with: NEC standards AHJ requirements Utility interconnection regulations Utilize diagnostic equipment including: Multimeters Clamp meters Thermal imaging tools Maintain accurate: Service documentation Inspection reports Photo documentation Follow all company safety procedures including: PPE requirements Lockout/tagout procedures Fall protection standards Respond to emergency service and warranty repair calls as needed Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide clear service updates
