Field Trip Teacher & Driver

We are seeking a responsible, caring, and organized Field Trip Teacher & Driver to support our daycare and preschool team. This role is responsible for safely transporting children to and from scheduled field trips and assisting teachers in supervising and engaging children during activities and throughout the day. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, patient, and enjoys working with young children in a fast-paced childcare environment. Key Responsibilities Safely transport children and staff to and from field trips, activities, and scheduled destinations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all children are safely secured in accordance with childcare transportation regulations Maintain accurate transportation and attendance records Supervise children during transportation and field trip activities Assist teachers with classroom supervision and daily activities when transportation duties are not required Support children's learning, behavior management, and social development Maintain cleanliness and organization of transportation vehicles Follow all daycare safety procedures, emergency protocols, and licensing requirements Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and administrators Ensure punctual departures and arrivals for all scheduled trips Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Previous experience driving children or passengers preferred Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and attentive in emergency situations Ability to lift, bend, and actively supervise children throughout the day CPR and First Aid certification preferred Must pass background screening and any required state childcare clearances Skills & Competencies Child supervision and safety awareness Time management and reliability Patience and positive attitude Team collaboration Attention to detail Problem-solving and adaptability Work Environment Must be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods of time while actively supervising and engaging with children during field trips, outdoor activities, and playground time
