Finance Intern Job Summary The Finance Intern is a member of Boyd's Corporate Finance team. This position's primary responsibility is performing various accounting and clerical work for the Corporate Finance Department. Essential Job Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining accurate finance records, including scanning and filing. Complete daily transactions. Perform weekly check runs and reconciliations. Maintain onsite and offsite record retention for Accounting and all related areas. Assist with month-end closing procedures as needed. Continued process improvements. Assist with routine audits (i.e., 401k, Workers Compensation). Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Enrolled in a four-year university with a declared major in finance, business, or related field. Students already enrolled in advanced level courses - Preferred. Proficient with MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and use of a PC. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good analytical and decision-making skills. Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment. Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities under minimal supervision. Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment. Physical Requirements Must be able to sit at a desk in for 6-8 hours daily.
