Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an Accountant to be responsible for managing the financial operations of our facilities, ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and compliance with healthcare financial regulations. This role supports budgeting, billing, cost reporting, auditing, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records, reports, and statements related to healthcare operations according to
GAAP/GASB
principles.
  • Prepare month end journal entries, reconcile accounts monthly, and various other month end procedures.
  • Drive budget preparation and monitor facilities revenues and expenses.
  • Owner of internal and external audits and cost reports, including preparing necessary documentation, schedules, etc.
  • Analyzes, consolidates and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.
  • Maintain and update financial databases and accounting systems.
  • Responsible for finance based projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with Accounting or Finance concentration is required. MBA preferred.
  • Experience in hospital or nursing home accounting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting, finance, reimbursement, budgeting, credit and collection as relates to healthcare is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Strong Leadership & Team Work Skills required.
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, organized, and strong attention to detail.
