Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and maintaining the integrity of our financial data. Your expertise will help drive accurate financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting efforts, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and precision. Duties Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft. Conduct detailed data entry and Excel data analysis to support month-end closing activities and financial reporting. Assist with payroll management using systems like ADP, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments. Support compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls by documenting processes and performing internal audits as needed. Review and process vendor invoices, expense reports, and customer transactions while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, credit analysis, and financial concept interpretation to optimize organizational financial health. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with familiarity in corporate accounting practices. Strong knowledge of GAAP standards, governmental accounting principles (if applicable), and technical accounting concepts. Hands-on experience with various accounting systems such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or Ceridian is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel for data analysis—and familiarity with spreadsheets for complex calculations. Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for account analysis and journal entry accuracy. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating strong organizational skills. Experience with account reconciliation processes including general ledger reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping. $60,275.36 - $78,611.18 per year
