An Accountant organizes and maintains financial records and prepares financial statements for companies and organizations. Works as a public accountant (prepares financial documents where public disclosure is required by law, such as business balance sheets and tax returns), management accountant (prepares financial information for internal use by a company) or government accountant (maintains records for government agencies).
Join Our Finance Team! TCR Child Care Corporation is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant II to join our Central Office team. This position works closely with the CFO to support TCR's financial operations, including accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and compliance. What You'll Do Prepare bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations. Review invoices, purchase orders, and receipts and process payments. Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and compliance. Assist with budgets, financial reports, and grant-funded programs. Analyze financial information and monitor budget performance. Support payroll, benefits, and monthly financial reporting. Assist with annual audits and compliance requirements. Work closely with the CFO, Program Directors, and finance team. Help improve accounting processes and financial procedures. Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field At least 4 years of progressively responsible accounting or financial experience Strong analytical and organizational skills Experience with computerized accounting systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidential information
Preferred:
