Our client is based in Scottsdale, AZ and is focused on the design-built of high-end residential lifestyle communities. They have been around for over 30 years with more than 35 properties globally. These communities are private, member-only communities where there is a heavy aspect of club services, member-only amenities, dining, recreation, and more. We are needing and strong Staff Accountant that is able to assist the finance team and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This role is an heavy GL focused role that would also have responsibilities for supporting general accounting functions. While this role is based in Scottsdale, you would be support three other properties across the country. This position reports to the Development Controller for both properties and would be responsible for: Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger by recording journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Preparation of expense report and insurance allocations. Posting of cash transactions to general ledger. Reconciliation with intercompany account held with the location. Monitor corporate billings to ensure recording has been made at location level. Support the accounts receivable process by preparing and sending invoices, and monitoring collections. Assist auditors with inquiries and ensure compliance with audit requirements. Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency. Provide AP Backup support as needed. Produce Ad-Hoc financial reports and basic analysis. This role is 5 days in office in Scottsdale at a beautiful corporate campus. There is a TONS of advancement opportunities for someone who is self-motivated and can execute properly. We need someone with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field and would prefer someone with at least 3 years of relevant experience, as well as someone who has some knowledge of cost accounting as it relates to construction. Familiarity with the hospitality industry is also a plus. Salary is up to $100,000 for the right candidate.
