Job Description

First West Properties Corporation is a full-service property management, commercial and residential real estate and development company seeking a reliable, highly organized, efficient, professional, detail-oriented, and self-motivated real estate accountant. Responsibilities include all accounting, financial analysis and reporting functions for multiple properties, LLCs, and other related entities in the company's broad and continually growing portfolio. Duties include professional level accounting tasks in support of property management reporting, preparing and analyzing operating statements, completion of monthly close-out of the properties, overall accuracy of management reports, operating statements, journal entries and general ledgers. Must be professional, reliable, courteous, team-oriented, self-motivated, and dependable with strong communication and written skills, the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently, and complete tasks in a timely manner in accordance with deadlines. Prepare, oversee, and delegate all functions of monthly accounting Execute reconciliations and audit bank statements for multiple accounts Prepare operating statements for each property Manage and remit payments for property taxes, insurance, mortgages, state taxes, and other applicable obligations. Conduct all human resources and related functions including payroll processing. Coordinate with staff and third parties for processing of income tax returns Compile and complete all entity information returns (1099's) Accounting experience is required Degree in accounting a plus Require an understanding of cash and accrual accounting Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is mandatory Yardi and QuickBooks experience is preferred Compensation dependent upon experience
