Job Description
Responsibilities:
Oversee month-end accounting activities, ensuring financial records are completed accurately and on schedule. Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. Analyze project and operational costs to identify trends, support cost control efforts, and improve financial visibility. Develop forecasts and assist with budgeting activities to help business leaders make informed decisions. Produce monthly financial reports and explain key variances to internal stakeholders. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank activity, and other financial records to maintain accurate reporting. Support accounting work related to S-corporation structures and related financial processes. Partner with corporate and project-based teams, including contractor and engineering groups, to provide accounting insight across multiple initiatives. At least 3 years of accounting experience, including hands-on responsibility for month-end close activities. Experience working with general ledger transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and maintaining accurate supporting documentation. Previous budgeting and forecasting is preferred, but open to training Strong analytical skills with experience preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
