Job Description
Description Job Duties:
Actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, which includes preparation of journal entries, balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and analysis specifically focused on cost accounting and collaboration accounting. Perform cost accounting activities including; standard cost updates, excess & obsolete reserves, scrap analysis, inventory variance reviews and analysis/reporting of inventory and COGS. Perform collaboration accounting activities including; partnering with Alliance Managers, reviewing minutes of joint committees, reviewing contracts and month end close accruals. Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis including book to perpetual inventory, inventory reserves and collaboration accruals. Assist with the balance sheet and income statement flux analysis for management reporting. Collaborate with supply chain and other cross-functional departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of COGS, operating expenses and inventory balances. Assist with external audit requests and PBC items for the quarterly and year-end audits. Participate in the annual site visits to conduct physical inventory count. Provide support for SOX related activities. BS/BA degree in related discipline with 5+ years related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA preferred, Big 4 a plus.Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or combination of experience and education/training in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Auditing/Accounting and Cost Accounting.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
General knowledge of accounting/finance principles and theory. SAP software proficiency preferred. Cost accounting experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications. Strong analytical and business communication skills. Strong attention to details and ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines. Ability to interact cooperatively and work as a team. Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Alameda, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
