ABOUT THE POSITION

Our rapidly expanding technology firm is looking to fill the position of Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of GAAP, experience in GL reconciliations, inventory management, AP, and AR. Must thrive in an informal, casual but professional, fast-paced environment. A solid understanding of both general accounting and job cost accounting is desired. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is strongly preferred. We are looking to fill this position immediately.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in business and/or accounting from a 4-year college or university. Good with Excel. Solid experience with QuickBooks Desktop/Enterprise. Excellent English skills. Must be able to communicate/present and explain results. Strong understanding of internal controls. Impeccable attention to detail. Must be a team-player, possess a positive attitude, and be willing to step up to responsibilities as needed. Minimum 3 years' work experience preferred. Good references from previous employers. Sales tax experience is a plus Primary Duties & Responsibilities Enter invoices into QuickBooks, ensuring accruracy of items and accounts coded. Assist in reconciling GL accounts, assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flows. Assist in month-end close, including journal entries and supporting schedules. Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements monthly. Prepare and send invoices to customers, and follow-up in a professional manner for collections when necessary. Reconciliation and tracking of inventory product movements, including performing physical inventory counts. Enter and process vendor/supplier invoices, ensuring all invoice details are received, accurate and complete. Assist in audit and tax filing processes as needed. Issue sales orders in support of Sales and Fulfillment team. Work with supply chain personnel in issuing purchase orders. Prepare customer setup forms, credit applications, and resale certificates for vendors. Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required.
