POSITION SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant Generalist supports the Controller, President, and General Manager by performing a wide variety of small-business accounting duties. This is hands-on work spanning all facets of general accounting for a small, closely held manufacturer. The emphasis is on applying sound general accounting and control principles while personally performing the day-to-day tasks and transactions that support daily operations. You will work in a small office as part of a close-knit, dynamic team, handling the many — and sometimes routine — tasks necessary to support a growing firm. This is a mid-level position suited to someone with some experience and education who wants to work in a small-business environment. We are willing to train and mentor the right candidate in the unique needs of the aerospace manufacturing industry, provided they bring the desire, aptitude, and educational background for the role. It is a great opportunity to manage hands-on, core accounting functions and generalist duties across the department. This is not primarily a bookkeeping, journal-entry, or tax-focused role, and it is not a CPA position. Rather, it is a day-to-day small-business generalist role that touches nearly every function in the accounting department. The task list is varied and never-ending, and the days move quickly.
