Anaheim, CA Job Details Full-time 11 hours ago Qualifications Research Bachelor's degree Presentation preparation Bachelor's degree in accounting Full Job Description The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing specifically assigned tasks in accordance with directions furnished by the engagement senior, manager, director or partner. This position is responsible for keeping management informed on the status of their work and of any problems that may arise. This position may assist clients by providing a full spectrum of individual, partnership, S-Corp, and C-Corp tax services, including planning, research, and compliance.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities that must be performed by this position. Easily analyzes and prioritizes information, distilling it to the critical issues and drawing accurate conclusions. Manage complexities and competing priorities. Assist with federal and state tax returns for individuals, entities, estates, and trusts. Assist with payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, property tax returns, W-2s & 1099s Participate in recruiting events. Other duties as assigned. The preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required to perform the essential functions of this position Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team setting. Strong presentation and organizational skills are essential. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Outstanding time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload efficiently.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications required for this position.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's degree in business administration or taxation a plus.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
List of preferred qualifications required for this position. With trusts (multi-state and international filings) is a plus. Strong Tax Generalist background is a plus. Strong accounting foundation (year-end adjustments, fixing client books, fluency in QuickBooks programs). Working knowledge of MS Office (primarily Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel). Knowledge of time record-keeping software (CCH Access) is a plus.
EXPERIENCE
at least 1-3 years of public accounting industry experience preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Enrolled Agent / Certified Public Accountant license is a plus.

This is primarily a sedentary office classification, and employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, telephone equipment, or calculation equipment and to operation standard office equipment.
