Brea, CA (Onsite)
Compensation:
$85,000 - $93,000 annually About the Opportunity A growing consumer products company with a global footprint is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This position will work closely with accounting leadership and play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, ERP system management, sales tax compliance, and ecommerce accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, experience in a product-based business environment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Perform bank reconciliations, prepaid expense reconciliations, and depreciation schedules
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Support tax compliance activities and sales tax filings
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Assist with ERP system administration, enhancements, and process improvements
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management Ecommerce Responsibilities
  • Reconcile transactions from ecommerce and payment platforms
  • Manage inventory accounting and inventory reconciliations
  • Support online sales operations and related financial reporting
  • Assist with multi-state sales tax compliance and reporting
  • Work with third-party vendors, shipping providers, and payment processors
  • Prepare ecommerce-related financial analysis and reporting
Job Requirements Details:
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 4-6 years of accounting experience
  • 4-6 years of ERP system experience
  • Strong experience with month-end close and financial reporting
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of sales tax compliance and reporting
  • Experience supporting inventory accounting preferred
  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Shopify and Avalara experience highly preferred
  • Mandarin language skills are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Brea, CA Benefits
