full-time We are partnering with a rapidly growing Bay Area company looking to add a Project Accountant to its accounting team. This is a hands-on role with strong exposure to both project accounting and day-to-day operations. The position will focus on job costing, accounts payable, and supporting the financial side of active projects. Responsibilities Manage job costing and project accounting across multiple active projects Track project costs, budgets, cost codes, and related financial activity Own day-to-day accounts payable, including reviewing, coding, and processing vendor invoices Match invoices to the correct projects, cost codes, and GL accounts and resolve discrepancies Manage vendor-related accounting issues and help ensure payments are processed accurately and on time Reconcile project costs and research variances Work closely with project managers and operations teams on project spending and cost questions Assist with month-end close, accruals, and account reconciliations Maintain accurate project, vendor, and accounting records Help improve accounting and job-costing processes as the company continues to scale Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience Experience with job costing or project accounting Strong accounts payable experience Experience in construction, mechanical contracting, engineering, architecture, specialty contracting, or another project-based industry Strong Excel skills Comfortable working with accounting and project management systems Strong attention to detail and ability to work across accounting and operations Why Join This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing company where the accounting team is closely connected to the business.
