DOE $75-82k per annum About the Role We're looking for an Accountant with strong technical accounting, communication, and problem-solving skills. You'll own key close processes, perform complex reconciliations and analyses, keep our financial reporting accurate, and serve as a senior technical resource on the accounting team. You'll report to the Sr. Finance & Accounting Manager. Responsibilities Ensure monthly financials are accurate and complete. Independently manage complex parts of the monthly and year-end close and the related audit schedules. Review, analyze, and resolve intercompany balances and differences with trading partners, and push aged or complex items to timely resolution. Prepare and review monthly close deliverables for Corporate and monthly management review decks, with analysis and commentary. Own and perform complex general ledger account reconciliations. Investigate and resolve reconciling items and unusual fluctuations. Make sure financial and internal controls are designed, documented, and working as intended. Help maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures. Support the Finance Director in preparing and reviewing financial statements and key balance sheet reconciliations. Define and drive financial initiatives that support business goals, including process improvements, standardization, and re-engineering of close activities. Review intercompany balances and processes on a regular basis to improve accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness. Serve as a key contact for external auditors by preparing audit schedules and answering audit inquiries. Give technical accounting guidance to team members and business partners. Lead or take part in special projects and ad hoc analyses assigned by the Finance Director. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent a plus) Strong experience with journal entries, month-end close, account reconciliations, analysis, collections, financial reporting, cash receipts, and credit terms Experience in a multi-entity, intercompany environment - REQUIRED Experience with Business Central preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required Proven ability to follow up proactively and professionally Strong analytical skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to work independently Must haves: Bachelor's degree (Accounting) Accounting technical knowledge and experience preparing journal entries Medium/large multi-entity company experience 100+Employees/100-200M revenue (required) Advanced excel functions/handle large data sets/workbooks (we are applying test) Intercompany reconciliations experienceInternal control knowledge/experience Process oriented/analytical mindset High degree of initiative/deadlines driven Nice to have: 2 years Accounting firm experience, very valuable (10 largest firm Tier) Global company experience Wants to work in Entertainment /Entertainment adjacent Pursuing CPA a plus Second language (Spanish, other) Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid maternity and paid paternity leave
