Accounting Full Job Description About Us:

IDEC Corporation was founded in 1945 and is listed with the Tokyo Stock Exchange with the headquarters located in Osaka, Japan. IDEC designs, manufactures and markets control automation products throughout the world. The products which we develop with ardent devotion to safety, higher productivity and environmental improvements include switches, relays, PLCs, operator interfaces, explosion-proof products, LED lighting, and barcode readers. Most of our products are for industrial applications but some products have applications in commercial and residential fields. IDEC also provides customized control solutions, including robot system integration where absolute safety is required in places with people and robots working as a team. In recent years, our core technologies opened new businesses in renewal energy and agriculture.

The Mission:

Support the organization's financial objectives by maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, maintaining efficient accounting processes while improving financial operations, and actively contributing to cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.

Primary Role Accountabilities:

Review the auto-processed sales invoices daily, compare with shipping reports, and follow up any discrepancies with Warehouse, IT, Sales and any other departments. Process credit memos and manual invoices including Ship&Debit credits. Process customer payments and apply cash receipts to customer accounts. Monitor and release sales orders on hold in D365 after reviewing the customer balance and payment status. Monitor and settle BtoC online orders, and follow up on any issues including the credit card payments and taxes. Monitor customer aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts. Reconcile accounts receivable balances and resolve discrepancies. Investigate and resolve billing issues and customer inquiries. Prepare journal entries related to AR transactions. Preparing documents for setting up new customer accounts, including credit reports and trade references. Maintain customer master data within D365 system, including credit limits, payment terms and contact information. Support monthly bank reconciliations for transactions related to AR. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare AR reports and analyze collection performance.

• Assist with bad debt analysis and reserve calculations. Assist with external and internal audits by providing supporting documentation.

Special Working Conditions:

Full time (40 hours per week) Primary onsite, but a hybrid work schedule may be available based on business needs and manager approval May need to be available outside normal working hours should issues arise. Must pass a security background check and drug screen.

Essential Work Experience, Qualifications, & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of accounting or accounts receivable experience. Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principals Experience with ERP systems (If D365, the experience is best, but not required) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Desired Work Experience, Qualifications, & Sills:

Ability to work in multi-cultural setting Experience with defense, medical, industrial, or other manufacturing/distribution operations
