Job Summary A direct hire opportunity is available for a Corporate Staff Accountant in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys hands-on corporate accounting work, accurate financial reporting, and supporting daily accounting operations in a fast-paced wholesale trade and import-export environment. The Corporate Staff Accountant will support accounts payable, account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close activities. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger activity.
- Support month-end close processes and maintain organized accounting records.
- Process accounts payable invoices, payments, and related documentation.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with accounting functions across multiple entities and locations as needed. Compensation and Benefits

- Maintain general ledger activity and accurate financial records.
- Process accounts payable invoices and payments.
- Research accounting discrepancies and support multi-entity accounting activity.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of general accounting experience.
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Understanding of accrual accounting, debits, and credits.
- Accounts payable experience.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple entities or locations.
- Experience in hospitality, restaurant, food distribution, wholesale, import-export, or related industries.
- Familiarity with Ottimate, Toast, or similar accounting, payment, or operational systems.
