Job Description:

Role Summary The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting, complex accounting judgments, and tax-related support across multiple entities and industries. This role reviews and oversees accounting work, ensures compliance with GAAP, and partners with management, auditors, and tax advisors. Key Responsibilities A. Financial & General Accounting Lead month-end and year-end close processes for multi-entity operations Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies B. Construction & Engineering Accounting Review job costing, budgets, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports Oversee revenue recognition using Percentage of Completion (POC) or Completed Contract Method Review

progress billings and vendor pay applications Ensure proper allocation of labor, materials, subcontractors, and overhead C. Inventory & Cost Accounting Oversee inventory valuation (FIFO/Average Cost) Review material cost analysis, freight allocation, and margin reporting Ensure accurate depreciation and inventory reserve calculations D. Retail & E-Commerce Accounting Review POS and e-commerce revenue reconciliations Analyze margins, discounts, returns, and promotional impacts Oversee AR related to customer financing and installment plans E. Real Estate Accounting & Investment Support Review land acquisition, development, and construction costs Ensure proper capitalization of soft and hard costs Account for construction draws, loan drawdowns, and interest capitalization Maintain depreciation schedules (MACRS) Support investor capital tracking, distributions, and K-1 preparation Tax & Compliance Support federal, state, and local tax filings Oversee subcontractor 1099 compliance and reporting Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong experience in construction accounting required Exposure to retail, inventory, or real estate accounting preferred CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
