Full-Time, Monday-Friday Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity based fully onsite in Elk Grove, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with at least one year of hands-on experience who is looking to grow within a dynamic organization. The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes Maintain general ledger and ensure integrity of financial data Analyze financial statements and variances Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes as needed Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audits Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) Minimum 1+ year of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred) Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) Prior experience in a mid-sized or fast-growing organization Progress toward CPA certification is a plus but not required Work Environment 100% onsite role in Elk Grove, CA Collaborative office setting with cross-functional interaction Opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance Why Join Us?
