Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and supporting the organization's financial health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a collaborative environment committed to excellence and integrity. Duties Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks Conduct detailed account analysis and perform month-end closing activities in accordance with corporate accounting standards. Utilize tools like Excel for data entry, spreadsheet analysis, and financial data reporting to support decision-making. Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining high levels of accuracy in all transactions. Weekly pick-up and drop-offs to local clients Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or pursuing degree Proven experience in accounting roles with strong understanding of GAAP and governmental accounting principles. Proficiency in software including Microsoft 360 and familiarity in QuickBooks Familiarity with technical accounting concepts Strong skills in data entry, account reconciliation, journal entries, and financial statement analysis. Excellent numeracy skills combined with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Exceptional attention to detail along with effective communication skills for customer service and team collaboration.
