Korn Ferry is partnering with a client in the construction industry in their search for a Senior Accountant. Company Overview Our client is a private equity-backed construction services platform based in the Burbank, operating across multiple business units and delivering residential and commercial solutions Position Summary This is a high-impact, build-oriented role with a clear path to assistant controller. The Senior Accountant will own the full accounting cycle for one business unit, including AR/AP, reconciliations, and system integrity between operational and accounting platforms. This is best suited for a hands-on accountant looking to grow into a leadership role within a dynamic, fast-changing environment. Key Responsibilities Manage full transaction cycle: invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and AR/AP Ensure accuracy and synchronization between operational and accounting systems Execute month-end close, including bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain commission schedules and validate against revenue Review operational data (e.g., labor hours) and resolve discrepancies Support compliance, including insurance tracking and business license management Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 4+ years of progressive accounting experience Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online Experience participating in or owning month-end close Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, multi-tab models) Ability to work on-site full-time Experience in construction, field services, or job costing environments, preferred. Onsite role 5 days a week onsite in Burbank to start.
