Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Grant Accountant to support grant funding operations and financial oversight in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract position will focus on managing the financial administration of grants, monitoring compliance with sponsor requirements, and partnering with program and finance teams to maintain accurate reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with government grants, fund administration, and grant-related accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and review funding opportunities from public agencies, foundations, and other grant-making organizations to support organizational goals.
  • Organize and maintain a schedule of grant-related deadlines, including submissions, renewals, financial reporting dates, and compliance milestones.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and compile proposal packages, letters of inquiry, and supporting documentation for timely submission.
  • Work closely with department leaders and finance partners to build grant budgets, track funding allocations, and support justification of project costs.
  • Oversee the post-award financial management of grants by monitoring expenditures, reviewing allowability of costs, and ensuring adherence to sponsor terms.
  • Produce interim and final financial reports for funders, combining budget activity, supporting analysis, and required documentation.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records for grant agreements, financial activity, correspondence, and reporting history.
  • Evaluate grant performance, spending trends, and reporting processes to identify opportunities for stronger compliance and improved funding outcomes.
