Job Description

Senior Accountant Los Angeles , CA Contract To Hire Accounting $52/HR to $60/HR 09/30/2026 Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $52.00 to $60.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for investment entities and related structures. Maintain accounting records for investment transactions, capital activity, and ownership allocations while ensuring accurate financial reporting. Calculate management fees, distribution waterfalls, and other fund-related financial activities in accordance with governing agreements. Coordinate with external service providers, auditors, tax professionals, and internal stakeholders to support reporting and compliance requirements. Assist with treasury operations, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of fund accounting, public accounting, private equity, real estate investment, or related experience. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and investment accounting concepts. Previous experience working with third-party administrators, external service providers, or outsourced accounting teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.

Qualifications:

CPA designation or progress toward certification. Previous experience within private equity, real estate investment, asset management, or alternative investment environments. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Self-motivated professional who can work independently, collaborate effectively across teams, and contribute to operational improvements and automation initiatives. REF #52911
