Full Job Description Experience:

$70,000•$90,000 per year Job Details•We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team in the engineering industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting and inventory management to contribute to a rapidly growing organization. The successful candidate will work closely with our finance team to maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers, prepare and analyze budgets, and perform general bookkeeping. This position demands a high level of accuracy and competency in dealing with financial data, offering an engaging work environment and the opportunity to develop your career in a progressive and innovative setting.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial records: analyze balance sheets and general ledger accounts. Reconcile bank statements and conduct bank-related tasks. Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts. Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts. Assist with initial internal control evaluations. Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals. Prepare documentation for external auditors. Conduct regular ledger maintenance. Manage the inventory accounting process, including the valuation of inventory, setting standard costs, variance analysis, and physical inventory counts. Collaborate with other departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information. Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize efficiency and improve performance in inventory management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related field. Proven experience in inventory management in the engineering industry. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
