We are looking for a Senior accounting professional for a direct hire job opportunity in Oakland, CA. Key Responsibilities Process and manage payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries. Support month?end and year?end close, ensuring deadlines and reporting standards are met. Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper recording of financial transactions. Assist with audits by preparing documentation and supporting internal controls. Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities. Collaborate with cross?functional teams to enhance accounting processes and improve operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Hands-on payroll processing experience required. Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles. Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. Ability to meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with multiple stakeholders.
