Staff Accountant at Ledgent Finance & Accounting Staff Accountant at Ledgent Finance & Accounting in Sacramento, California Posted in about 9 hours ago. $35.00 - $39.00 per hour Staff Accountant Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate will have experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records Support financial statement preparation and reporting Review and analyze account activity to identify discrepancies Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit support Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Support various accounting and finance projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3+ years of accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Effective verbal and written communication skills Technical Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis Experience with accounting and ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms Experience with financial reporting and general ledger systems Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technology platforms Strong data entry and account reconciliation skills All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
