Utility Plant Accountant*Part Time*schedule, 1 week M,W,F and 2 week T,TH 8AM-4:30PM

•Hybrid schedule one-week M,W,F and the following week T,TH (8am-4:30)•Manage the lifecycle of capital projects and fixed asset accounting. This role ensures accurate financial reporting for utility plant records and maintains compliance with SEC, FERC, and CPUC requirements.

Key Responsibilities Capital Projects:

Set up work orders, manage annual budgets, and monitor project status with Engineers to ensure timely recording.

Financial Close:

Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations for general ledger accounts including CIAC and construction advances.

Asset Management:

Maintain fixed asset accounting, including setups, depreciation, and sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations.

Compliance:

Support the preparation of financial data for Form 10-Q, 10-K, and

CPUC/FERC

reporting.

Contract Administration:

Audit and reconcile Main Extension Advance Contracts and process monthly refunds.

Minimum Qualifications Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; utility or water industry preferred.

Technical Skills:

Advanced Excel proficiency. Experience with JD Edwards or a major ERP is a plus.

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 24.0 per week
