Earlier, he started and led Google's AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace. What you'll do Own the revenue close Maintain revenue policy Review customer contracts and consumption reports Prepare monthly revenue journal entries in accordance with ASC606 Manage customer onboarding Coordinate internally and externally to properly on board customers (RFP questionnaires, access to purchase order portals, etc) Build process with sales to collect purchase orders timely from customers Ensure customers are invoiced timely and accurately Build scaling systems and processes to ensure timely processing of customer invoices Coordinate with tax to accurately collect and remit all taxes Own customer collections process Create and maintain collections dashboard to track status Ensure timely follow up on past due invoices Develop the process to communicate and escalate past due invoices Proactive involvement in Finance Transformation initiatives to leverage AI and tooling to scale Enhance or upgrade our our tech stack to enable the latest in AI technology Challenge our processes and develop AI first approach What you'll bring 5-10+ years with a mix of public (highly regulated) and private (hyper growth) Proficient in US GAAP (ASC 606) Ability to identify areas for improvement and build solutions using AI Desire to drive operational efficiency to scale the function A structured, self-directed, detail-oriented builder and problem solver who can design a process where none exists, run it, and improve it over time without being managed toward it. A bias for simplifying and automating processes and passion for building an AI-native finance function.
