Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger by recording and reviewing financial transactions. Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications. Perform monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements, schedules, and management reports. Review account activity and perform variance analysis to identify unusual trends or discrepancies. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control requirements. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests. Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities by providing account analysis and reporting. Maintain fixed asset and lease accounting records, including depreciation and amortization schedules. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and increased efficiency within the accounting function. Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and testing of accounting-related processes. Ensure compliance with sales tax, business licenses, and other regulatory reporting requirements, as applicable. Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis requested by management
Required Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles. Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis. Experience with financial reporting and account reconciliation tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, and Operations teams. Capable of explaining financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. 3 to 5+ years of accounting experience
Preferred Skills:
Semiconductor accounting experience. Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls. Experience with process automation and system implementations. Experience in the technology, semiconductor, manufacturing, or startup industry, depending on company needs. CPA License or CPA candidate for Senior-level positions Public Accounting experience Experience in technology, manufacturing, or high-growth organizations

Compensation:
The compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and education.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
