full-time Overview Tiposi, an innovator in medical device technology for stroke detection, is seeking a Staff Accountant to own our financial operations and help keep the business running smoothly as we push toward commercialization. This is a hands-on role at a medical device startup-you'll handle everything from QuickBooks reconciliation to investor reporting. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health and integrity, contributing to strategic decision-making and operational excellence. At this stage of our growth, you'll take on real ownership across multiple areas of the business and collaborate directly with leadership and investors. Duties Manage day-to-day accounting operations including month-end close, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements). Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to track spending against projections. Provide financial data and insights for investor relations and fundraising activities. Coordinate tax preparation and compliance, working with external accountants as needed. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Develop and improve internal financial controls and procedures. Travel with CEO to support investor meetings as needed. Support HR and recruiting functions including payroll administration, onboarding, and candidate coordination Requirements CPA Eligible Must be bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English. Strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and journal entries. Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is a plus. Excellent numeracy skills combined with the ability to analyze Excel data effectively for reporting purposes. Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis accurately. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and bookkeeping tasks. Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and support audit processes. Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced startup environment. Preferred Familiarity with ADP for payroll processing and compliance. QuickBooks proficiency. Experience with due diligence processes and fundraising activities. Familiarity with equity compensation and stock option administration.
