We are looking for an Accounting Coordinator to support day-to-day financial operations for a construction-focused organization in San Leandro, California. This position plays an important role in keeping billing, payment tracking, and financial records accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing high-volume transactional work in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

Track overdue customer balances and proactively follow up on outstanding paymentsResolve payment delays, billing issues, and collection obstacles to improve cash flowMaintain regular communication with clients and keep detailed records of collection effortsInvestigate disputed invoices and coordinate timely resolutionProcess and issue lien waivers and related construction documentsPartner with payroll to obtain and track certified payroll submissions from subcontractorsCompile and provide financial records and supporting documents for auditsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial planning activitiesSupport invoicing and billing processes as neededReview project financial activity and ensure documentation is properly recordedCollaborate with the Contracts team to maintain accurate project notes and recordsProvide accounting and administrative support across project and finance functionsPerform additional special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned by management
