Length of Work Year 12 month position, 260 paid days per year, M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm with 30-minute unpaid lunch break Employment Type Full Time Location San Luis Obispo, CA Job Summary Job Summary Perform accounting duties in the review, evaluation, maintenance and adjustment of designated funds, budgets and accounts. Provide administrative and departmental support and training in the review, evaluation and development of designated budgets and accounts. Assist districts in financial reporting and budgetary projections. Serve as a liaison between districts and county and state governmental agencies. Prepare, maintain and audit financial, statistical and budgetary data, reports, statements and records. Produce and present budgetary reports to small and large groups. Qualifications Required:
  • Any combination of education, training and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be four years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting or related, or graduation from an accredited college, including coursework in accounting, business administrations, finance, or payroll.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and apply common sense to a variety of documents, financial, and statistical records.
  • Demonstrated experience in spreadsheet computer applications.
Desired:
  • College-level coursework in accounting or related field.
  • Experience in a school district, county office of education, or governmental agency.
  • CASBO, ACSA, or related school business certifications.
