Job Description
- Process payroll, including timecard review, garnishments, final checks, employee questions, and year-end tax reporting support.
- Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice coding, approvals, payment processing, vendor communication, and weekly check runs.
- Handle accounts receivable duties such as payment posting, customer statements, billing inquiries, write-offs, and related-party billing.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, monitor cash balances, and support cash management and fraud prevention controls.
- Maintain general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, review accounting transactions, and assist with month-end close.
- Support audits, regulatory filings, workers' compensation audits, license renewals, reporting requirements, and special projects. Compensation and Benefits

- Process payroll and support compliance with California payroll requirements.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash activity, and reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries, maintain general ledger accounts, and support month-end close.
- Assist with audits, reporting, regulatory filings, and accounting-related special projects.
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of California payroll laws and regulations.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, subledgers, and general ledger accounting.
- ERP system experience with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing audit support documentation, including PBC schedules.
- Understanding of internal controls and financial reporting best practices.
- Ability to identify process improvements and analyze accounting trends.
- Proactive, self-motivated work style with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing financial and operational tracking tools such as fuel cards or electronic toll/pass systems.
