Job Description:

Position Overview The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role manages monthly closings and financial reporting for NorthStar's numerous locations. The Staff Accountant provides guidance and support to client requests and works collaboratively with the accounting team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on self-starter who excels at organizing accounting workflows for multiple entities. You must confidently resolve procedural and analytical questions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting :

Prepare monthly accounting for multiple entities and general ledgers.

Reconciliations :

Conduct thorough balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and closing entries using integrated software.

Team Leadership :

Collaborate with the accounting team to establish goals and objectives for monthly production.

Problem Solving :

Address complex questions and collaborate with team on accounting procedures and reporting methods.

Onboarding :

Manage the financial set-up and wrap-up of new or transitioning locations.

Qualifications Experience :

3 to 5 years of direct accounting experience. Experience in a multi-entity environment.

Education :

Bachelor's degree in accounting, or extensive equivalent professional experience.

Technical Skills :

Deep knowledge of GAAP, general accounting procedures, and monthly closing processes. Experience with Microsoft suite and other accounting software.

Soft Skills :

Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical capabilities.
