Job Description
Wedgewood Weddings & Events is growing - and our Accounting team is looking for a Staff Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is ready to hit the ground running. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on exposure to multi-entity, multi-location accounting at scale, working across close, reconciliations, fixed assets, and reporting. What You'll Do Close & General Ledger Post standard journal entries based on a 4-4-5 budget calendar Post department/location allocations based on reporting and budget Download, code, post, and reconcile monthly corporate credit card charges Support month-end close, including prepaid accounts, intercompany transactions, and accruals Take on additional GL tasks as needed Reconciliations Prepare and maintain Balance Sheet account schedules Reconcile bank accounts across multiple entities and locations Fixed Assets Maintain the fixed asset subledger - additions, disposals, transfers, monthly depreciation, and roll-forward schedules Reporting Produce and circulate monthly financial reports Research and resolve posting issues and discrepancies What You Bring 2-4 years of related accounting experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience preferred Strong Excel skills Sharp attention to detail, solid record-keeping, and strong organizational skills The ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume, dynamic environment Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills A collaborative, team-first mindset Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus About Us For over 40 years, Wedgewood Weddings & Events has been helping couples celebrate life's biggest moments while making the planning process simple and enjoyable.
