Full Job Description Senior Accountant Pay:

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) About the Position We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This position is ideal for someone who has strong accounting fundamentals, enjoys improving processes, and is comfortable working in a changing, technology-driven environment. The Senior Accountant will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end accounting activities, processing payroll and accounts payable, handling intercompany transactions, and assisting with sales tax and other accounting-related responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is not only technically strong, but also a team player who communicates professionally, accepts feedback, and is motivated to learn and improve processes. Key Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Prepare and record journal entries, including intercompany transactions. Reconcile related intercompany general ledger accounts. Assist with financial reporting and month-end close activities. Process and manage accounts payable activities. Work with third-party, AI-assisted automated accounts payable systems. Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now . Assist with California multi-jurisdiction sales tax calculations, filings, and payments through the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) . Work with customer invoices and ensure applicable sales taxes are properly applied. Use accounting systems and electronic records to maintain accurate documentation. Help transition accounting processes from a paper-based environment to a more efficient paperless system. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, procedures, and efficiency. Respond professionally to inquiries from doctors, employees, technicians, managers, and other contacts. Answer incoming phone calls and provide appropriate assistance or direct inquiries to the appropriate person. Participate in meetings and communications using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other electronic communication tools. Perform other accounting duties and projects as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field . CPA is not required . Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP , including: General Ledger Financial Reporting Accounts Payable Inventory experience is a plus, but not required Experience with QuickBooks . Experience with accounting in a light industrial manufacturing environment . Understanding of accounting principles and strong attention to detail. Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Familiarity with California sales tax requirements and multi-jurisdiction sales tax. Experience using ADP Workforce Now , including payroll processing. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word . Comfortable working with PDFs and other electronic file formats. Comfortable learning and adopting new accounting technology and processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Cost accounting education or experience. Manufacturing cost accounting experience. Experience transitioning from paper-based accounting processes to electronic or paperless systems. Experience with AI-assisted or automated accounts payable solutions. Experience with inventory accounting. Compensation $30.00-$36.00 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
