Job Description
A growing manufacturing company in North County San Diego is looking for a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a few years of accounting experience and wants more ownership over the month-end process, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You'll work closely with the Controller and Operations team, giving you visibility into both the accounting and business side of the organization.
What you'll be doingPrepare journal entries and assist with month-end closePerform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliationsMaintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedulesAssist with AP and AR as neededPrepare monthly financial reportsAnalyze account activity and investigate discrepanciesMaintain prepaid, accrual, and fixed asset schedulesAssist with inventory and cost accountingSupport annual audits and year-end closeIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes
