5-7+ years Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations within a fast-paced Food & Beverage environment. This role will be responsible for revenue accounting, POS and bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable support, intercompany reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized accounting professional with strong reconciliation skills and hands-on experience working with high-volume financial transactions. Key Responsibilities Review and reconcile POS sales reports , ensuring revenue is accurately recorded in the F&B general ledger by sales category, department, and event. Reconcile daily POS settlements to bank activity and investigate discrepancies. Complete monthly bank reconciliations across all bank accounts. Reconcile intercompany accounts and research discrepancies as needed. Oversee and maintain Accounts Receivable , including monitoring outstanding balances and providing regular status updates to leadership. Provide support to the Accounts Payable function as needed. Assist with the month-end close and preparation of monthly financial reports. Support financial and external audits by preparing documentation, coordinating with auditors, and responding to audit inquiries accurately and timely. Maintain organized and accurate fiscal files and accounting records to support financial reporting and audit requirements. Ensure accounting activities are performed in accordance with established bookkeeping and accounting principles. Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as assigned. Contribute to the achievement of overall financial accounting objectives and internal controls. Qualifications & Skills 5-7+ years of accounting or finance experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Food & Beverage industry experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general accounting principles. Experience reconciling POS sales, cash settlements, and bank activity preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to identify discrepancies, research issues, and resolve accounting variances. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams. Highly dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who understands the unique revenue and reconciliation requirements of the Food & Beverage industry. They should be comfortable working with POS systems, high-volume transactions, bank reconciliations, AR/AP, and month-end accounting while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
