Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
- Review vendor billing statements, schedule payments, and issue checks
- Coordinate and respond to vendor billing questions in accurate and timely manner
- Assist in maintaining and reconciling Accounts Payable
- Assist in preparation and posting of general journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Verify checks and bank deposits
- Gather receipts, review credit card charges for accuracy, and enter into AP module
- Support the Director of Accounting in projects and other task assignments
- Perform daily departmental general accounting duties; filing, data entry, etc.
- Reconcile and bill customers on a monthly basis using AR module
- Reconcile all Balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly schedules
- Must submit and obtain pre-approval from Accounting Director for time-off request form
- Maintain a high level of honesty, confidentiality and work ethics at all times
- Must always communicate, be consistent and act professionally at all times
- Any other assigned duties presented by Accounting Director
- Review/Audit employee paper and electronic time sheets and other information to prepare for data entries into payroll system.
- Must follow-up with supervisors regarding pending edits and ensure completion before payroll closing
- Assist in the preparation/processing of employee mileage, and misc. reimbursements
- Prepare payroll reports and send to applicable department heads. Save reports on company server
- Perform other duties as required to complete goals and objective of the Accounting Department Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to select and compile data for statements, expenditures, revenues, accounts, and reports
- Strong computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office - Proficient in MS Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and ADP workforce payroll and Paycom system is a plus
- Strong communication, prioritization, and organization skills
- Must enjoy interacting with others and working in a team environment
- Able to multitask and handle working with distractions
- Flexibility, adaptability, integrity, and interpersonal skills Minimum Position Qualifications
- Must have at least 5 years' experience in a Staff Accounting role
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping terminology and practices
- Knowledge of automated accounting systems, including QuickBooks Pro Series or Enterprise Solutions 24.0 Certificates, Licenses and Certifications
- Valid CA Driver's license,
