Job Description

Breckenridge Grand Vacations is seeking a Staff Accountant - Construction II to support accounting for resort development and renovation projects. In this role, you will prepare and reconcile job cost reports, track budgets vs. actuals, process invoices and payments, and maintain the general ledger for construction activities. You will assist with month-end close, fixed asset capitalization, and financial reporting, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate documentation. Working closely with project managers and vendors, you'll help optimize costs, support audits, and contribute to BGV's people-first, hospitality-focused culture in Breckenridge, CO. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain construction job cost reports and budget-to-actual analyses Reconcile general ledger accounts related to construction and fixed assets Process construction-related invoices, payments, and purchase orders Assist with month-end and year-end close for development projects Support fixed asset capitalization and project closeout entries Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and internal departments Assist with internal and external audits related to construction accounting Maintain accurate documentation and records for all construction projects Identify process improvements to enhance accounting accuracy and efficiency Required Skills Construction accounting Job cost reporting General ledger reconciliation Accounts payable processing Budgeting and forecasting Fixed asset accounting GAAP compliance Financial reporting Excel and spreadsheet analysis ERP or job cost accounting software
